This original AppleTV just sold on eBay for $127. Why pay $299 for a new AppleTV when you can have this 32mhz beast for less than 2 bills! Apple released these black beauties in October of ‘93 and by February of 1994 they’d been killed off. Unfortunately for Apple 10,000 of these cable-tv ready b0xen escaped into the wild. It’s hard to believe the combination of cable-tv, a 14″ CRT and mono speaker never took off.

The limited edition Mac TV had a bit of an identity crisis. It came in a black LC 520-style case. (It is one of only a few Macs to have ever been black.) It came with a cable-ready TV tuner card, and included a CD-ROM drive. Only 10,000 Mac TVs were made before it was discontinued. However, Its TV-tuner card has become a popular option on many LCs and Performas.
